Exit Stage Left

One of the best bands of the last decade, 東京カランコロン (Tokyo Karan Koron), performed their last concert today after their farewell tour fell foul of Covid19.

I first came across them in spring 2011

(Aficionados will note this is the second version of the video).

Perhaps surprisingly given their idiosyncratic nature they made it onto a major label who I don’t think knew what to do with them. But they did get them a theme tune which became their most well known number.

But they were as good as ever when moving back onto their more natural home of an independent label.

The will be missed.
